Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to manage our Web production environment, as well as maintain our development and corporate environments. We have a rapidly growing infrastructure, so we need to add someone to our team who is familiar with building and managing high availability, fault tolerant, highly scalable systems. While systems administration is the focus of this role, there are also some basic MySQL and networking tasks involved, as well.

Jobs Specifications/ Responsibilities:
Systems administration functions for our production and internal LAMP stacks, (Linux, Apache,, MySQL, Perl, Python, PHP as well as Java)
Set up and configure Routers, Firewalls, Loadbalancers and other related devices.
Maintain core systems on the Linux platform including Databases, Mail, DNS, and Proxy
Help build out and maintain a rapidly scaling infrastructure to meet demand.
Monitor system stability and performance
Configure system and network parameters
Requirements
7+ years experience of building, managing, and responding to monitoring systems, measuring critical system performance
Experience working with developers and providing systems expertise, guidance, and resources with scaling in mind.
Colocation experience is a plus.
Experience with Virtuozzo and Plesk is a plus.
Experience configuring servers and resources in a cloud computing environment is a plus.
Experience setting up memcached for high-performance sites is a must.
MySQL experience is a must.
Experience configuring and deploying ejabberd and other XMPP servers is a plus.
Experience managing vendor relationships is a plus.
Broad understanding of Internet technologies required, and supporting data warehouse is a plus.
Proficiency with Django and Python development, and mod_python, mod_wsgi deployment is a plus.
5+ years experience in a 24/7 datacenter environment
Business to consumer or SaaS experience is a plus
3+ years experience building and managing load-balanced web server clusters with Apache, PHP, Python, Django, MySQL
3+ years experience with backup and recovery
Solid experience with DNS, SMTP, transfer (SSH, SCP, Rsync), SVN, CVS.
5+ years experience with Linux and Windows and Mac OS systems in a heterogenous, networked environment.
Ability to configure and set up secure, remote access channels for personnel to work outside the office.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management
